Corruption in Kerala Mines Safety

One of the directors of Mine Safety Directorate, South Zone, was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation team, while accepting bribes from mine owners.
CBI sources said the official was travelling northwards from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala State and collecting money. The mines safety director arrived  on Sunday and was staying here when the sleuths caught him. Bribes were collected for relaxing  provisions for the safety of the labourers in mines coming under the South Zone of the directorate. Nearly Rs. 4 lakh and gold coins were recovered from him .
